The Rainforest Wild Adventure park, located in Singapore, is Asia's first park that combines zoo animal exhibits with family-friendly, mild thrill rides.

It opened its doors to visitors earlier this year (2026).

Photos and videos in this article were recorded by me during a visit to the park in August 2026 to celebrate the birthdays of several friends.

A zookeeper feeding a Red River Hog (Potamochoerus porcus)

Fun facts:

  1. 1.

The Smithsonian Institute describes them as the most colorful member of the pig family.

  2. 2.

They can swim and are comfortable with being entirely submerged for short periods.

A zookeeper with buckets of feed.

A handsome chap.

A Taveta Golden Weaver (Ploceus castaneiceps) & its orb-shaped nest woven from grass

Fun fact: Even though the Taveta Golden Weaver is a songbird, the sounds that it makes are not considered pleasing to many.

A massive 6 meter long crocodile

A sight for reptile fans.

Sitatunga (Tragelaphus spekii)

Fun fact: When frightened, a sitatunga may enter deep water, submerge most of its body while leaving its nostrils above the surface.

Nile lechwe fawn (Kobus megaceros)

Fun fact: they are an endangered species.

Madagascar ibis (Lophotibis cristata)

Fun facts:

  1. 1.
  2. 2.

Asian tri-coloured squirrel (Callosciurus prevostii)

Fun fact: Its closest relatives include some equally extravagant squirrels. The genus Callosciurus contains roughly 15 species collectively nicknamed the "beautiful squirrels".

Lemur Land

Lemur Land is a walk-through aviary visitors can enter that houses free-roaming lemurs.

Unfortunately, my friends and I entered Lemur Land too late in the day. A zookeeper stationed there shared that the lemurs are on a schedule where they would be directed elsewhere at 5.30pm daily.

Thrill Rides

In addition to its animal exhibits, the park features several family-friendly, mild thrill rides. By mild I mean the opposite of intense.

My review of the four rides my friends and I had tried in descending order of intensity:

1. Canopy Jump (Thrill Level 5)
Some may call this bungee jumping but it's more accurately described as a controlled descend from a platform about five to seven storeys high.

An short video of the mild descend process:

For those familiar with rock climbing, the sensation is somewhat similar to being lowered on an auto-belay.

As a friend put it, the real thrill lies in daring to step off the 20-meter-high platform.

2. Canopy Glider (Thrill Level 2)

The Canopy Glider takes riders on an audio-guided tour around the park, offering an elevated vantage point from which to view the park's animals in their habitats.

pro tip: Securely fastened phones and cameras, such as those attached with a body strap, may be brought on the ride.

3. Cavern Crawl (Thrill Level 1)

A child-friendly, 10 minute, exploration of an artificial dimly-lit cavern that includes an encounter with the Madagascar hissing cockroach. Do not worry as these cockroaches are entirely walled off by an enclosure.

I would recommend this gentle experience to families with young children.

4. AIA Vitality Bounce (Thrill Level 1)

Participants can spend up to 20 minutes bouncing on nets which are hung about two stories from the ground.

Both adults and children are allowed to enter.

There were staff stationed on these nets to watch over the participants.

Wait Time

My friends and I visited on a Saturday. The wait time for rides we tried was between 30 to 45 minutes.
